Many of you already know by now, how important it is to generate traffic in order to sustain your business. If you run out of traffic to your website, then it is nearly impossible to still be in operation a few months down the road. So what do you do? You concentrate on joint ventures, Search Engine Optimisation, PPC Advertising, Facebook Ads, Social media marketing, and so on. The one ad method i want to tell you about is the Pay Per CLick Google Model. I LOVE this method, in fact, for my other online business, www.ArtisanPieces.com. for every ONE dollar that i invest into PPC, I make back about EIGHT whopping dollars in pure clean profits. But, PPC costs are highly correlated to Quality Scores. (By the way, if you wish to advertise on Google, you can go to Adwords.com) So, a low quality score makes you a)appear lower on the list, and b) pay more for each click The focus here is then to be able to raise your quality score. What are some factors to cause your quality score to suffer? One of them is called bounce rate. For example, after clicking on your ad, a visitor leaves immediately. This is bad because its telling google that your landing page was not relevant to their search intentions. This is frowned upon by Google because Google favours relevancy! So how can you lower the bounce rates? Simply conduct a 2 step method. On the landing page, do NOT ask the visitor to buy anything or to subscribe to any newsletter. Just create a first page with compelling headlines and some bulleted features, and a button to the next page. This increases visitors's click through tot second page. This heightened click through, by itself, would cause Google to increase your quality scores, and therefore, A)lower you PPC costs and B) appear higher on sponsored ads listings for your chosen keywords. MLMs has gotten a bad rap lately, especially seeing that the bulk of wealth is concentrated at the top of the operational chain. Therefore it is quite taboo to mention the word itself! Last week I had a good chat with my family doctor, and we discussed at great lengths on how to improve her income. As of now, she is essentially a time for money trader; in essence, she gives up her daily time to attend to patients, and as such, trades her time for money. I told her that she could earn a very powerful passive stream of income via an amalgamation of 2 methods- Internet Marketing and Homeopathy Prescriptions. Before you scoff at this idea, take a look at http://www.drpbanerji.com/index.htm Basically, I told her that she should "diagnose" irritating, but non life-threatening ailments such as cough, skin itch, bad breath and so on via webcam or email videos. However, due to international regulations and potential problems arising from the dispensing of prescription medicine, she would be better served by selling homeopathic, natural remedies to her "patients" worldwide. To maximise the profits on base products, I advised her to create her own line of products via private labelling fish oils, glucosamine, red yeast, ginkgo biloba and so on. Each day, with the proper traffic generation techniques, all she has to do is check her email for patients problems to diagnose and then outsource the sending of the natural remedy to their address. Tell me what you think of this added stream of income? Use Webinars to your advantage 11/22/2009
Ever wish to have a professional image with minimal costs? Afraid to run LIVE seminars? You can always use webinars as a stepping stone for confidence What is a webinar? A webinar is a seminar done over the web, hence, web-inar. How does a webinar work? You simply email your list of prospects, customers and friends alike. You set the date, and everyone will be online at the same time. Once online, you can then proceed with your speech, or powerpoint slides, at your own pace, for ALL attendees. Once you have touted your product and services, you can then open the floor for questions and answers.. TIps 1)Always research your topic well, you want to appear knowledgeable and an authority in your chosen field. 2)Practise for possible questions, because you wont want to stumble and look foolish during the Q and A session 3)make sure you ask attendees to book their attendance. This gives a feel of exclusivity. 4)Make sure you inform them of the date and time at least 1 week before. 5)Make sure, when approaching the real date, remind them one more time, via email and SMS. 6)Your microphone needs to be of medium quality, not bottom quality ones, image is important. 7)Internet connection needs to be broadband, anything less is a recipe for disaster. . From time to time, my students complain that they feel like their customer base have come to a stagnant point, that they are not getting more customers despite spending more on marketing efforts. In such cases, a roadshow might be just what you need to kickstart the flow of business again. A roadshow does not have to be of the expensive variety in Takashimaya Atrium etc. Instead, you can hold one at cheaper places such as Novena, Thomson, Bukit TImah etc. Now, what is the purpose of the roadshow? Contrary to popular myth, its not just for sales. Yes a roadshow can generate instant sales for you, but in order to maximise your dollars, you should use it as a platform to A)Get customer contacts, so you can conduct follow ups later. They may not buy now, but they might buy a week or 2 later B) Brand awareness. The roadshow will leet people know that there is another supplier in town who is carrying their favorite goods or services. This can lead to viral popularity. For example, some companies are selling 2nd hand luxury bags. It is very important for them to create brand awareness. If the general public are not aware of your EXISTENCE, they cannot buy from you, neither can they recommend others to do the same! c)Test the market for variables such as new products, and marketing techniques and flyer/brochure effectiveness etc. There are lots more uses to an affordable roadshow than you think. Hmm. I will try to list down all the businesses i have assisted to set up in the past year or so 1)Sports coaching company (owner) 2)Online art gallery (owner) 3)Investment alternatives (owner) 4)discount skin care (owner) 5)business creations (owner) 6)handicrafts ecommerce ( as consultant) 7)courier services firm (as consultant) 8)luxury travel company (as consultant) 9)Picture Framing Shop ( as consultant) 10) Tuition home business ( as consultant) 11)internet wealth firm ( as consultant) 12)importing/exporting businesses (as consultant) Everyone has ideas and secret hopes of opening a business, but no one to talk to about it. Friends are increasingly becoming more and more negative. They will tell you, "sure or not?? business very difficult to do leh! You sure you know how to run meh?" Such negative friends are to be avoided. In fact, sometimes, their real motivation for putting you down is because they are somewhat jealous of your success. I have had my fair share of such "friends". I now rabidly keep a one mile radius from them, for their thoughts and actions are TOXIC! Have an idea? DEVELOP IT, NURTURE IT, NOURISH IT AND MAKE IT HAPPEN! Sitting on your dreams will bring you no further than the chair you already are in. Have a passion? Love teaching? Love coaching? Today was an exciting day. The manager of a boutique hotel called me and asked if i would be interested to represent a Russian Artist who was staying at their hotel. Apparently, he suffers from cancer and is looking to raise income via his paintings. When i saw the paintings, i went WOW! This guy needs no charity! His artworks could pay for his treatment many times over! Furthermore, he happily did custom made paintings for onlookers. Very nice chap. After chatting with them, i decided that it would be a good idea to marry talent with marketing efforts. I had a nice online gallery, but not many original artists. This Russian artists has much talent, but not for marketing. By teaming up with him, i have additional artist resources, and him, a free advertising platform. A win-win situation, if i say so myself :) Had an urgent call from my student today, regarding on how to maximise his dollars. What he does is provide advertising solutions. His clients pay him per project, so his income depends on his ability to secure as many as he can at one time. The problem is, he is currently employed full time in a government job, so he does not have much time to committ to the system. His complaint was, "too many customers but too little manpower to help him distribute his flyers!" After listening to his customers product range, i felt that it was a complementary product with home deliveries. Instantly, i told him to partner up with a local pizza delivery company. What happens is this. For a small fee, the pizza company would insert their flyers into their delivery schedules. And as such, since the product line is complementary to the scheduled deliveries, the people who viewed and received these flyers were HIGHLY targeted, As a result, sales conversions for the company increased multiple-fold. The customer was so happy that they extended his advertising contract. Fantastic end to a sticky problem. |
